The Project involves the construction of a 5.3-kilometer bridge that will span the whole length of the existing Candaba Viaduct. The 3rd bridge will be built between the two existing viaducts, creating a two-bound elevated roadway. When completed, the new viaduct will expand the Candaba Viaduct into a three-lane per bound roadway with wide inner and outer shoulders. The design and construction of the Candaba 3rd Viaduct started in February 2023 and is slated for completion in 21 months.
This is one of the largest projects along NLEX handled by Norconsult as Independent Design Checker (IDC) and Independent Certification Engineer (ICE). It is one of the milestone projects of Norconsult with NLEX Corporation as partners for almost three (3) decades beginning with the latter’s predecessor, the Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC).
